It is indeed a great honour for me to be a part of the golden jubilee celebrations of the nation’s premier institution which was founded fifty years ago on this day in 1967. Accept my heartiest congratulations on sustaining the quality of your academic endeavours and excellence in learning and research leading the journey inspiring so many following your spirit.
I am so pleased to mention that Quaid-e- Azam University has held its pedestal high by been consecutively ranked as Pakistan Number one university by HEC ranking in 2016 and in previous years respectively and has also earned global acclaim by being ranked in the top 500 higher education institutions on the basis of its continuous merit in the field of pure and social sciences duly acknowledged in the QS world ranking for the last few years. This is a big achievement and we should give a big hand of applause to the university and all those whose efforts brought it to that hallmark of academic excellence.
I strongly believe that we must not only give full and due credit to our current leadership but also to all those unsung heroes of the past who left no stone unturned in creating what QAU is today. I don’t want to miss this opportunity to join with you in thanking and acknowledging the efforts of all the previous Vice chancellors of QAU and the teaching faculty, affiliate academics, management officials’ alumni, and staff members who either retired or not with us anymore. They were the real backbone and foundation of this institution. At the same time we must also not forget the contribution of our students and alumni who after graduating from here excelled in their respective fields making their alma mater elevate at national and international platforms. if they were the foundation, the current university administration, faculty, staff and students are the custodians who have to take the legacy ahead with the same vigour and spirit.
As Minister of State for Education I stand with my head high that I am personally validating this institution 50 years outstanding service to the nation Today the soul of our great Father of The Nation, our beloved Quaid-e-Azam must also be very happy the way you have maintained the dignity of his name. However we must not forget being the best, we have a greater responsibility to be not only to remain on the top but also inspire other institutions with our ethical culture, commitment honesty of purpose dignity and honour.
