‘As QAU marks the start of its 50th Year it is worthwhile to reflect on how far the University has come in terms of its contribution to the knowledge-base and human resources of Pakistan. From a small outpost in what was practically a wilderness in the early 1970s, QAU has matured into Pakistan leading research HEI.

The journey has not been easy and QAU has faced a host of challenges, not the least of which include insufficient funding for its development. It is a matter of great satisfaction that this historic neglect in spite of historic achievement is in the process of being corrected by the present Government.

June 21 is a day of immense pride for QAU faculty, staff, and students, and an occasion to renew our collective commitment to the pursuit of excellence in accordance with a public service ethos.’
